‘When the Magnolias Bloom’ is a story of grief, and it’s process, told through quiet, reflective, and thoughtful moments and observations in collaboration with my family. The photographs include memories and appreciation for the life lived by my late Great Aunt Elaine. They journey from the reclusion to the safety of the indoors, where family come together to reminisce, to the beginnings of acceptance and adaptation, and returning to the outside.
